Mapoon Appeal

Join us in healing the spiritual bond between the First and Second Peoples of this nation.

Your help is needed to fulfill the Uniting Church’s commitment to reconciliation walking together with the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC).

Our Assembly meeting in 2015 agreed to launch and support an appeal to build a new church in Mapoon.

You can help us rebuild and restore the community of Mapoon.

This project has far greater impacts than simply erecting a building, it is an important act of reconciliation.

We as the successor church to the Presbyterian mission apologise to the residents of Mapoon for failing to intervene into their brutal forced resettlement in 1963.

Donate Now  to build a bright future for the community in Mapoon.
